In the HRS 1996, Final Core Data Release, Version 4, this variable:

     E4101     J84D.BUSINESS OR FARM $ DK-5K

               J84d. (Would it amount to) $5,000 or more?

should have been asked only of the 31 respondents who responded "No" ("5") to a
previous question:

     E4098     J84A.BUSINESS OR FARM $ DK-10K.

               J84a. (Would it amount to) $10,000 or more?

Because of an error in the data collection instrument, E4101 was also
asked of the 71 respondents who responded "Yes" to:

     E4099     J84B.BUSINESS OR FARM $ DK-100K.

               J84b. (Would it amount to) $100,000 or more?

It is suggested that the analyst recode the value of E4101 to missing for these 71
respondents, i.e.,

     IF E4099 EQ 1 THEN E4101 = . ;
