This dataset contains the 4-year probability of mortality as estimated by the social frailty index (SFI). The social frailty index uses age, sex, and 8 social predictors from the core interview and psychosocial questionnaire. Values are only estimated for participants who were eligible for and completed the psychosocial questionnaire (i.e., every 4 years).

The publication detailing the development and validation of the index can be found here:

Social Frailty Index: Development and validation of an index of social attributes predictive of mortality in older adults. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2023 Feb 14; 120(7):e2209414120.
